Xiaomi might soon broaden the Watch 5 series beyond China, as a new report indicates a possible launch in Europe. The smartwatch, which first appeared in China at the end of December, is now rumored to be coming to places like Czechia at a higher cost than what it sells for in China. Leaked information hints at a version for global markets that runs on Wear OS, featuring high-quality materials and improved health tracking capabilities. However, Xiaomi has not provided any official details on when it will launch worldwide. According to a report from Czech source Svetandroida, the Xiaomi Watch 5 could come to Europe priced at CZK 7,990 (about Rs. 35,400) or EUR 329 (roughly Rs. 35,400). The article states that the smartwatch will be introduced in the Czech market after its release in China in late December.

The Xiaomi Watch 5 is anticipated to be available in certain international markets, featuring color options like Black and Juniper Green in a 47mm size. It will probably use Google's Wear OS instead of Xiaomi's own system, allowing users to access the Play Store and a broader range of apps. In China, the starting price of the Xiaomi Watch 5 is CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 15,000), while the eSIM version is priced at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 29,000). The report mentions that the global edition of the Xiaomi Watch 5 is likely to have features similar to those of its Chinese version. Xiaomi has yet to announce any official pricing or rollout dates, but leaks suggest that the Watch 5 may launch alongside the Xiaomi 17 series and Xiaomi Pad 8 lineup. Regarding specifications, the Xiaomi Watch 5 is expected to have a 1.54-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480x480, peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and sapphire glass for protection. It is also said to include a 316L stainless steel casing, 5ATM water resistance, and a 930mAh battery that could last up to six days in smart mode or up to 18 days in power-saving mode.

The Xiaomi Watch 5 smartwatch is also likely to have two processors, consisting of a Snapdragon W5 chip alongside a power-efficient coprocessor. Health functionalities might feature heart rate monitoring, SpO2 measurement, ECG capabilities, and an EMG sensor for gesture controls. The report further notes that while an LTE version with eSIM remains uncertain, some listings hint that it could also be available in European markets.
