Xiaomi has announced the details about the processor and battery of the new Redmi Note 15 model before it is released in India. The Chinese phone brand has also provided additional information regarding the Note 15, such as its charging capacity, water and dust resistance rating, and expected price range. The Redmi Note 15 will feature a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display. It will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. This processor is expected to give a 10% increase in graphics performance, a 30% boost in processing speed, and four years of smooth operation. The mid-range smartphone is set to have a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilization and the ability to record in 4K. The device will have an IP66 rating for water and dust resistance, indicating it can resist splashes but shouldn't be submerged in water.
It will include a 5,520mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging. Xiaomi has stated that the device will allow for 1.6 days of usage and is also said to have a battery life of up to five years. The phone will run on HyperOS 2, and while it’s not clearly stated, it is expected to come with Android 15 out of the box. Xiaomi has revealed that the phone will be priced under ₹20,000. A new advertisement for the phone indicates it will be available for purchase on Amazon. The Redmi Note 14 was launched in India starting at ₹18,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. It’s likely that the new Redmi Note 15 will be in the same price range.

At this price point, the phone will compete with devices like the OnePlus Nord CE 5, Infinix GT 30, and Realme P4. Anticipated specifications for the Redmi Note 15: The Redmi Note 15 has already been released in select markets, giving us a clear idea of its features. Besides the 108MP main camera, it also includes an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Additionally, it has a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device will support RAM options of 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB LPDDR4x, paired with storage options of 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2. Previous rumors suggest that the phone might launch in India on January 6, 2026. However, the exact launch date has not yet been confirmed by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer.
