The fake account of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai has been disabled on Monday.

The fake Faceboook profile of Highness was first reported by Zeny Suyu, from the Philippines.

The Dubai residents of 10years, she was first contacted by the account user, carrying the name and pictures of Shaikh Mohamad on Saturday morning.

“The person started chatting with me and asking for money, and promising to hire me to join his charity to help the needy. I reported it so that this person is stopped and cannot scam anyone else. It’s not a nice for anyone to use Shaikh Mohamad’s pictures and name for this purpose,” said Suyu.

A Spokesperson for Facebook said that the company takes misinformation seriously. One of their News Feed values is authentic communication. When anything is reported as fake, they take immediate actions to investigate and eliminate the fake accounts.

In the following case the Facebook team immediately disabled the fake account for violating the company’s policies.

How to report a fake id on Facebook

A person who wants to report an account that is pretending to be his/hers or someone they know:

If you have a Facebook account and want to report that someone is pretending to be you or someone you know:

If one cannot find the account, try searching by the name used on the profile or can ask friends, if they can send a link.

Click on the cover photo and select Report.

Follow the on-screen instructions for impersonation to file a report.

If  someone doesn’t have a Facebook account and wants to report an account that is pretending to be him/her or someone they know, they can fill out a form (on the website) under hacked and fake accounts.
