NRI writes Exquisite poem dedicated to his parents

There are no words present in the dictionary that could describe the sacrifices made by parents for their children without much heed to their own needs.

They often do things without expecting anything in return, at the most maybe a little love and respect.

NRI Devis Devassy Chiremael, from Kerala living in Bahrain, always wanted his parents to visit him. However, his father always denied visiting the foreign country because of his appearance.

Chiremael’s father, who is a farmer by profession wears a traditional mundu (Dhoti) and does not wear any footwear. He always declined to visit, as he did not want his son to feel ashamed of his ‘inappropriate’ dressing choice.

So, Chiramel decide to embrace his father’s choice of dressing, until the time his parents came to visit him in Bahrain.

Chiramel shared a picture on Facebook with his parents and wrote a beautiful poem.

The photo was posted about a week ago has gone viral.

The post has received over 45 thousand likes and several thousand of comments.

He wrote, “It’s a little painful as I walk barefoot. But when I think of my parents’ sacrifices for me, the pain doesn’t affect me/is sweet” in Malayalam before the trio set off.

“It is when I became a father myself that I understood the sacrifices that my parents have done for me. Instead of keeping flowers on the grave of your parents, it is better to hand them flowers when they are alive,” he added.

“I believe it’s the responsibility of every child to take care of their parents in old age,” he added and thanked God for everything.
